Detailing of 3d interiors

Detailing and further processing of the render determines how the final image or scene will be perceived. The level of detail depends directly on what objectives are pursued by the model.

Visualization of the interior implies a deep level of detail in such matters the average quality of the render is by no means possible. Therefore before ordering the visualization of the interior customers should always specify the level of detail required and artists – try to achieve the ideal quality of the render.

How to achieve high detail

Any rendering requires professional post-processing. Even the most qualitative but not detailed scene can turn out to be “dry” and unrealistic. However it should be remembered that professional visualization of the interior requires realism and therefore – detailing.

Completion and detailing requires:

Texture map mapping: drawing texture of finishing materials gives not only realism but also objectivity because the client (investor) can see not only the geometry of the interior but also its surface content – leather furniture should not be different even on the model.

Lighting: the absence of light turns a three-dimensional model into a deliberately flat picture the play of light and shadows is a necessity allowing to estimate the level of realism.

Color scheme: for exact detail you need an adequate choice of colors color balance white balance.

Details and subtleties: often de constructive nuances – scrapes distortions and other “imperfections” allowing animating objects.

Detailing: what is important to know?

It should be remembered that the price of visualization services depends directly on the detail. The painstakingness and complexity of the work depends on the level of realism the development of models in some cases may be an easier undertaking than work on detailing.

There are 2 ways to achieve a high level of detail:

Use programs and editors of 3D modeling and design (most programs for example 3DS MAX allows you to easily apply textures to any objects varying the methods of coordinate systems);

Use graphic editors for post-processing (photo editing and graphic editing programs such as Photoshop which allow correcting and modifying already ready models).

Turning the rendering into a wonderful realistic model is quite simple. To do this it is not necessary to have a highly developed artistic ability; professional skills in working with graphic editors will be enough.

Such editors as Photoshop allow not only to model lighting and shadow but also to impose textures modify models and “raw” renderers into realistic panorama interiors.
